This is an extract from the Tanzania country report that was presented and discussed at a sub-regional workshop held in Mauritius 18-21 March 1996. It provides an overview and analysis of five major aspects. The aspects are: (1) the organisation of the technical and vocational education and training system; (2) financing of the system; (3) partnership at the central level; (4) functioning of the system at the institutional level; and (5) organising and financing training for disadvantaged groups.
